The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is established on the 2nd floor of a brick Renaissance Revival palace, built to house the Croatian Academy of Letters, Science and Art founded in 1866. Its collections are largely comprised of those amassed by Bishop Strossmayer. Ranging from the Italian Quattrocento to the 18C, it showcases artists such as Carpaccio, Andrija Medulic Schiavone, de Ribera, Dürer, Fragonard, Poussin and Delacroix, thus spanning Italian, Croatian, Spanish, Northern and French schools of art. Highly instructive!
