The Northern Sea of Clouds is the perfect spot in which to watch the sunrise or sunset. The Beginning to Believe Peak and its surrounding area offer views of the nearby mountain ridges, on which trees cast delicate silhouettes so typical of Chinese paintings. The Lion's Peak is also popular for its views of the sunrise. At sunset, the Peak of the Purple Clouds dominates a landscape of successive mountain ridges, behind which the sun sets in a blaze of red.
