Well worth the diversions
Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
Still today the Northern Vosges Nature Reserve, which lies within the triangle formed between Wissembourg-Saverne-Volmunster, is teeming with a variety of wildlife (including stags, roe deer, wild boar and hazel grouse). You can enjoy beautiful walks through wooded valleys, prairies, ponds and forests. There is nonetheless evidence of human presence in the midst of this well-preserved natural landscape, in the form of perched châteaux (Lichtenberg and Fleckenstein) and discreet little villages (Hunspach and Seebach).
