The lanes along the Blau canal, lined in half-timbered houses, are very picturesque. Make a point of looking out for the Schiefes Haus ("Leaning House" 15C) and the tiny "kissing alley", Kussgasse, thus named because the roofs of the houses touch each other. Also make a point of admiring the delightful view from Häuslesbrück bridge and the island road (Auf der Insel), wedged in between two arms of the Blau canal, whose wooden panels were formerly used to hand colour skins without staining the façades of the houses.
