This centre is home to a natural history museum, aquariums, a sanctuary for seals and birds and a nature park. All of the collections relate to Texel island, from its geological formation in the Ice Age to its transformation into polders, and from its prehistoric inhabitants to its present-day tourists. Visitors are allowed to stroke the rays and observe the seals. The dune park (Duinpark) offers a number of interesting walks.
