The Michelin Guide's review
Situated between the ramparts on the southern side of Side's agora, the Roman theatre is an imposing sight. Although built in the 2C AD, the theatre is Hellenistic in style and its huge semicircle of seats - 119m in diameter - could house almost 15 000 spectators. There are fine views of the sea and the coast from the top of the upper tier.
