Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
In this street, the façades of old houses (nos 10, 12, 13 and 14) are decorated with stone masks, wrought-iron balconies and nailed or carved doors. At n° 65, the Hôtel de Beaufort, the Scottish banker, Law, set up his bank in 1719, as a result of which the other buildings in the street were taken over by speculators. Law's house was razed when rue de Rambuteau was built.
