The Michelin Guide's review
The only real point of interest along this embankment is the view of the Quai des Grands Augustins opposite. As for the goldsmiths and jewellers who thrived here in former times, they were replaced by the residents of no 36, colleagues of the famous detective Maigret. Police headquarters and law courts moved to Batignolles in 2017. The embankment leads to the Pont St-Michel: the original edifice dates from 1857.
