The Michelin Guide's review
During the late 1940s beloved American author Frances Parkinson Keyes (1885-1970) restored this 1826 Louisiana raised cottage, which had been the residence of Confederate general P.G.T. Beauregard for 18 months following the Civil War. Beauregard family portraits and heirlooms are on view here, as are the intriguing collections of Mrs. Keyes, who wintered here until her death.
