Horreum is not a horror museum! The word means "warehouse" in Latin. Exceptionally well preserved, the one in Narbonne (1C BC) was commensurate with the importance of the Roman town. It was most probably located beneath the buildings of the market. The walls are in excellent condition and exemplify different construction techniques. Visitors can stroll along the galleries in a market atmosphere created by sound and light effects that enhance the amphoras and sculpted details.
