Lampaul-Guimiliau Church
Michelin Guide
Well worth the diversions
Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
This church's architecture mixes Gothic and Classical styles. Inside, you'll notice the 16C Glory Beam, the baptismal font from 1651, and an unusual 17C font depicting two devils struggling in holy water. The church also houses an Entombment (1676) in coloured freestone. Six altarpieces are remarkable and the most elaborate stand on either side of the chancel. Be sure to see the splendid altar of the Passion, the figures on which are strikingly lifelike.
