The Michelin Guide's review
The Crêt de Chalam is the highest peak (1 545m) in this range that dominates the Valserine valley to the west. It is a little arduous to get here, but the panoramic views are spectacular and the whole length of the Valserine valley can be taken in. To the east, you see the Jura Mountains; in front of you is the Roche Franche, on the left, the Reculet, and the Crêt de la Neige, on the right, the Grand Crêt d'Eau and, on a clear day, Mont Blanc. Looking west, the view stretches as far as the eye can see.
