Huddled between Strøget to the south and Gothersgade to the north, the "Latin Quarter" revolves around the University and Notre Dame Cathedral that stands opposite. The area is partly pedestrianised and the narrow streets are lined with bookshops, fashion boutiques and cafés, occupying the ground floor of the 18C houses.
