The Michelin Guide's review
Enna used to be known as the "town of towers", many of which were built during the reign of Frederick II Hohenstaufen. Those that have survived have mostly been incorporated into churches and are used as bell towers. This particular octagonal tower, typical of those found in Enna, stands in the middle of a small public garden.
