The houses that stand by the docks of this lovely marina contain many restaurants and cafés. Beyond this is the great esplanade, Pla de Sant Joan, where the Saint John Festival take place, is surrounded by boathouses hewn out of the rock. This neighbourhood is particularly lively in the evenings. An approach ramp, on an old counterscarp, leads to the upper town.
