Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The Sullivan Center is considered Louis Sullivan's masterpiece, designed in 1899. The upper part of the façade, clad in white, hints at the metal frame, and the two first levels are covered with magnificently intricate decorative panels. 3D organic motifs insinuate themselves around the building's corner entrance rotunda, where the cast iron opens up gracefully onto Chicago windows, lending the building an exceptional impression of lightness and finesse.
