Built for the Keith, Gage and Ascher firms in 1899 by Holabird & Roche, this trio exemplifies the typical Chicago School façades, with their brick curtain walls revealing the steel framework. Note the façade by Louis Sullivan at no 18, on which his typical flowery ornamentation enlivens the spandrels and explodes out to the cornices.
