Moraine Lake occupies a splendid setting. It is lined on one side by the sheer jagged ridge of the Wenkchemna peaks and, on the other, by thick forest that slopes gently down to its shores. Moraine Lake Road rises above Bow valley, commanding an impressive view of Mount Temple (3,549m) and beyond the ice capped Wenkchemna peaks, also known as the Ten Peaks.
