The design of this impressive futurist edifice built in 2011 was inspired by the curved lines of Batak decorations. Devoted to preserving the values and culture of the six Batak clans (Toba, Simalungun, Mandailing, Angkola, Dairi, Karo), the museum exhibits a remarkable collection of jewellery, household utensils, fabric, pottery and statuettes... Outside, a traditional village with three rumah (houses) and three sopos (storage facilities), characteristic of Batak villages, has been recreated.
