The Michelin Guide's review
With its massive round and square towers and L- shaped main building, Aujac Castle, which is still inhabited, has been overlooking the Cèze Valley since the 11C. At the foot of the round tower, a medieval fortified village lived under the protection of the castle, which was perched on a rocky spur where the Gard, Lozère and Ardèche meet. A team of volunteers is setting about restoring the castle and village.
