Rize Valley is home to some of the loveliest lakes in Jiuzhaigou park, the highest waterfalls and the most remarkable forests. While the Pearl Waterfall and Five Flower Lake are the local stars, Panda Waterfall is also worth seeing: it's the highest waterfall in the park (78m), and divided into segments by the enormous rocks that jut out from the cliff. As for the primeval forest, 3 100m above sea level (accessible by shuttle), it is home to no fewer than 2 500 rare plant species.
