The Michelin Guide's review
Set amid a green mountainous landscape at an altitude of 2 830m, Colombia's second lake in terms of surface area is also one of the most spectacular in the Andes. The clean air, crystalline waters, magnificent colours, and splendour of the environment have a somewhat Scandinavian charm. Walking trails line its banks and there is a botanical garden on the island of La Corota, in the centre of the lake.
