The Michelin Guide's review
This crescent-shaped site encompasses 16 tombs and 17 sculptures dating from the 1C BC to the 5C AD, some of which conserve a few traces of polychromy. Two small hills standing close together were levelled out and the space between them filled in, thus forming a vast man-made platform, at the extremities of which two funerary complexes were laid out. One of the two tombs at the Mesita B site shows a remarkable crocodile-shaped sarcophagus.
