Built in the late 16C by Mimar Sinana, this bridge over the Drina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its elegant and regular arches make it a perfect example of classical Ottoman architecture. During the war, in 1992, the bridge was the site of the massacre of Bosnian civilians by Serbian armed forces.
