The Michelin Guide's review
This magnificent edifice houses the National Ceramics Museum. In 1740, the Marquis commissioned artist Hipólito Rovira and sculptor Ignacio Vergara to renovate his austere 15C residence in a Baroque vein. All its walls were painted by Luis Domingo to give a marbled effect, rich balconies were added, and the crowning glory was the ornate frame of an alabaster doorway with its high-relief anthropomorphic and foliate carvings.
