Park or garden
The Michelin Guide's review
Although the oldest parts of this garden date back to 1799, the botanical garden itself was opened in 1933 as a support for the teaching of biology in the neighbouring monastery. The original seeds came from all over the world, brought to the Netherlands by missionaries. The garden was subsequently extended with one section planted with herbs and another with vegetables. Finally, a greenhouse for Mediterranean plants was added.
