The Michelin Guide's review
Some of the old buildings in the centre of Prince Rupert are worth making the detour for, especially when their Art Deco architecture meets Tsimshian motifs (an ethnic group from the northeastern coast of British Colombia). Such is the case of the City Hall, built in 1938. It has frescoes created by Tsimshian artist William Jeffrey, one of the founders of the Native Brotherhood of British Columbia (1931), the oldest first nations organisation created in Canada.
