This dark, Romanesque-style building (1891), with its cypress wood interior, houses a fine collection of paintings, photographs, uniforms, battle memorabilia and other artefacts from the Civil War, including personal belongings of Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson and Jefferson Davis, the Confederacy's only president.
