The Michelin Guide's review
The famous Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, painted on the walls of the monastery refectory, is the reason most visitors are drawn here. The church, though, is an absolute gem in its own right: it was completed by Bramante, who created the stunning gallery. The side chapels also have sublime decoration: note in particular the magnificent decoration of the dome. Bramante's cloister is charming, in particular when the magnolia is in bloom.
