There are two main reasons for visiting the former San Ildefonso College: the many splendid frescoes adorning the building, and the stalls, from the Church of San Agustin, carved with Biblical scenes at the start of the 18C by Salvador de Ocampo. Note, in the main patio, the works by José Clemente Orozco (1883-1949) who, along with Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros, created the most vibrant examples of Mexican mural painting. It also holds remarkable temporary exhibitions.
