Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
This is one of the few sanctuaries in Morocco that is open to non-Muslims. The mausoleum is entered via a finely worked gate decorated with tracery and topped by a green-tiled canopy. A series of open-air rooms and a courtyard for ablutions precede the sanctuary. The mausoleum room is divided into two parts, one secular and the other sacred. On the right are the royal tombs, which may only be approached by Muslim believers. Everyone can admire the wonderful ornaments and intricate decors.
