The feudal character of this castle can now only be seen in the southern front, surrounded by moats. The rich ornamentation of the eastern side, on the other hand, is more akin to the Châteaux of the Loire. The visit takes a look at some ten lavishly appointed and furnished rooms. The walls of the main dining hall are hung with Cordoba leather and there is a coffered Renaissance ceiling. The library is filled with rare works and the bedroom of the Cardinal d'Amboise is furnished with 17C Flemish pieces.
