The Michelin Guide's review
Transformed in the 1970s as tourist attraction and showcase for Kentucky's equine heritage, this 1,200-acre working horse farm celebrates the state's best-loved ahimal. Don't miss the excellent introductory movie, Thou Shalt Fly Without Wings, or the displays in the International Museum of the Horse, chronicling the animal's history and evolution. Twice daily in summer you can admire the Parade of Breeds, where horses of every size, shape and pedigree strut their stuff. Home to some of the world's greatest competitive horses, the park is also a premier exhibition center, staging numerous equestrian events annually, including the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Also on the grounds, the American Saddlebred Museum commemorates the only breed native to Kentucky.
