The Michelin Guide's review
The pre-historic site of the Inca Cave is tucked away in the folds of a sumptuous landscape of red hills. The main cave is covered with black, red and cream petroglyphs, featuring animals, people and geometrical forms, believed to be 5 000 to 9 000 years old. The first cave has, sadly, been vandalised, but a dozen others along this valley contain signs of human presence and indicate perhaps that this was the ancestor of the "Inca trail".
