The Michelin Guide's review
A journey back in time, from the Palaeolithic era to the 20C, awaits visitors to this museum, where an impressive collection of items from the country's different civilisations are displayed. Admire, in particular, the collection of bronze drums decorated with scenes from daily life from the Dong Son culture (7C-2C BC); an impressive wooden Buddha dating back 1 500 years; and magnificent lingas - phallic symbols of the god Shiva which recall the civilisations of South Vietnam. The collection of stone statues from the Champa civilisation is remarkable.
