The Michelin Guide's review
The former civil and religious heart of Brixia, the old forum retains some impressive remains of a Roman temple (1C BC) decorated with magnificent wall paintings, the only ones of their kind in northern Italy. Next to the temple stands the imposing Capitoline temple (73 AD) and the theatre. Archaeological finds from the excavations of these sites can be admired in the Santa Giulia museum.
