This monumental building by American architect Richard Meyer houses in its vast white exhibition rooms display a permanent collection of some 1 500 works from the second half of the 20C. A prominent position is accorded to Catalan artists and international trends that made their mark on contemporary art in Catalonia. Temporary exhibitions and conferences are also held here, most notably in what was once the church of the Convent dels Ángels, along with concerts.
