The Arda Valley road follows the river of the same name through a pleasant landscape, despite some deep, narrow passages. Beyond the intersection with the Banite road, you will leave the river to cross an undulating plateau used as pasture-land. All along the way, high minarets signal the presence of villages: Ardino, Kardžali, famous for the green waters of its lake, and Momcilgrad, boasting many lively cafés.
