The Michelin Guide's review
This headland is the southernmost point in Madagascar. Cape Sainte Marie is in fact home to a 1 750ha "special reserve" renowned for its two species of endemic tortoise turtles - 3 000 per square km2. Like the village of Betanty, it is also a good location for watching humpback whales.
