The Michelin Guide's review
The landscape between earth and sea of the Panhandle, called the Alaska of the Southeast, is depicted by a jagged shoreline where glaciers plunge into deep fjords. The quintessence of this unspoiled Alaska is Glacier Bay National Park, accessible by a cruise. The Panhandle is also a region of forests, peppered with charming little villages, at the top of which is Sitka. This land, rich in Native-American culture, is well worth a visit.
