The Michelin Guide's review
The brothers who run Kyochuka Makisada are following in the footsteps of their father, who was a chef at a Chinese restaurant. The sign beside the shop curtain was written by their father, a gift to celebrate their start of a new life. The “sada” part is common to both brothers’ names. The elder brother runs the kitchen, while the younger brother handles service. The counter is the place to sit to watch the spectacle of dishes being prepared, such as sizzling Peking duck. The brothers’ passion is driven by the family tie that binds them.
